Chopping wood, emptying the slacks, fetching water—these became second nature.

In Sälka,
Solidarity grew among trekkers, and resourceful, we ended our day.

In Singi,
Swept by the wind, we formed a line of strong women skiing and learned the secret of sponges and blisters.

In Kaitumjaure,
Our host made our days easier as snowshoes replaced our broken skis.

In Teusajaure,
Our repairs were in vain as our playground turned into a white monochrome, making our senses useless. Are we going up? Down?

In Vakkotavare,
We savored the reassuring lingondrick as we crossed the finish line.
